[yellow tail] started with a simple idea: great wine should be for everyone. Not just people who know their terroir from their tannins, but anyone who wants a good glass at the end of the day.

The Casella family arrived in Australia from Sicily in the 1950s and settled in Yenda, a small town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, where they'd been making wine for generations back home. They planted vines, built a winery and spent decades supplying other producers before launching their own label in 2001. That label was [yellow tail], and within a few years it was the most popular Australian wine in the world.

More than twenty years on, it's still made in Yenda, still owned by the Casella family, and still made the same way: from sun-ripened Australian grapes, with soft, fruit-forward flavours and none of the fuss. The 'Roo on the label is a yellow-footed rock wallaby, and it's there to remind you that wine is meant to be enjoyed, not studied.
